    Racial Riot in Singapore

The racial riot on 21 July 1964 is definitely one of Singapore’s History which we are mostly proud of. Looking back at the past years of structuring a national identity using the power of the state, it is clearly revealed to the mind that harmony in the affluent city-state like Singapore is not a privilege granted by the law, however, it is the result of Singaporeans working together as a nation.

I know not many of us care about the history of Singapore hoo-haa shits but let me tell you that, history is not merely a thing of the past and that 21 July 1964 will always be a lesson for all of us that teach us the importance of Racial Harmony.

We want peace and solidarity in our country! We don’t wish to be another Indonesia – a country with never-ending crisis and riots between the overzealously religious department and the corrupt politicians.

Being a Singaporean myself, and who doesn't have a hostile attitude towards any races, I think it is necessary for everyone to know that every person is “multi-layered”. Just like you and me, we are defined by more than just our race and cultures. God made you; God made me, God made and continues to make people. Therefore, imagine God made you a dumbfuck short Asian. Don't you think that is how you’re require to live your life and die? We cannot lie to ourselves or be complacent! Racial harmony will not improve unless one practices the right manner of understanding and accepting each other individuality, yet finding the need to be one nation. By simply creating common spaces among the different races is not enough! In order for harmony to become a reality, you should never take things for granted and respect!

Sorry to say, the only time humans encounter the true spirit of harmony is during times of disaster when we all become a victim. That’s when aid is well received from anyone. Oh well.

Live life in harmony with all and
    Happy 44
    th birthday Singapore!!!!

On that note, take a look at this if you haven't -- another stupid and unmemorable NDP theme song I have heard so far. Agreed?

    FAIL FAIL FAIL!!!!!
