Shopping Spot: HMV The Heeren @ Orchard
Just for the record, shopping challenges the brain and contributes to positive self image. That is why theory have shown that women tend to live longer than men: they shop more. Whether it's for clothes or groceries, shopping is a simple way to summarise what's good for the brain. It combines three elements that allow the brain to function better: staying physically active, challenging the brain and maintaining a positive self-image. See, women go to the mall, and they have to walk around a lot, oftentimes carrying heavy bags. Secondly, they have to make a lot of decisions: 'I have to compare this price with that . . . will this particular piece fit in my home?' blah blah blah. When they're all done, they really feel good about themselves, like they've accomplished something. On the other hand, men are at home sitting in front of the TV trying to help (their football team) along, and that doesn't do any of the three. I don't know about you whether to believe it or not. Hello, this isn't a crap ya'll. But, I tried to uhhh... you know shop until I drop (like them, women) just to live longer than some men. So, I went to converse the other time -- bought a bag. To RE: to get that slim fit bermudas, skinnies from Flesh Imp and Garcon for that pink coloured pants. |
