BUKE PUASA BERSAMA
Ramadan, is a Muslim celebration that is held in the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. The fasting period takes place during this month leading up to Hari Raya and it is compulsory for Muslims to fast from dawn to dusk. All Muslims excluding the young, old and those with poor health are definitely encouraged to fast of course. However, they are refrain from desires such as smoking cigarettes, sexual activities and eating to name a few during the daytime of the fasting month. Not as easy as you have thought eh? When the sound of ‘Azan’ is played on radio, Muslims break their fast with a huge serving of food also known as iftar in Malay, typically eaten together with family and friends either at home or at bazaars which are put up specially for Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri. So I had a chance to experience Buka Puasa fully (well, almost) with two of my friends over at Tong Seng Coffeeshop last Saturday and guess what, it was pretty amazing to see many Muslims gather together waiting to have their meal. I love it =) Some photos we took since we had ample time. Hehe. Tell me which is your favourite. <3 |
